Welcome to the website portion of Adokenai. Here you can learn about the board's past, read up on some of the older, archived RPs, as well as some of the members' stories about Adokenai. On December 9, 2009, the board was closed due to months of inactivity and loss of interest. The following e-mail was sent:
I've tried everything that I could possibly think of to try and bring life to this place. I've tried for the past six years, and nothing worked. I've constantly asked for suggestions and input and welcomed any ideas from all members alike, but in the end the end result was the same.
While this place never flourished like I hoped it would one way, I still enjoyed my time here as administrator of Adokenai and the time spent with the few people that have stuck here through everything. Some of the best years of my life where spent here at this very forum, where, like a lot of other people, it was used as an escape from school.
I could go on and on and on about my own memories here, but. That would be a very, very long teeldeer that I'm sure everyone would want the tl;dr version of.
While talking to Kenni, I had come to a decision to close Adokenai.
At first I was thinking at the end of the year, but what's the point? Nothing will happen. So, as of today, December 9, 2009, Adokenai is now closed. All posting access to all forums, except the Plot forum, where there is actually a fitting topic that had been made last month by Zelina, will be revoked. You will not be able to post anywhere except to reply.
I know this might seem upsetting to people, but I'm tired of putting in more effort than necessary to try and make this place better when it will never be. I'm sure that people have noticed that when I stopped bothering to update this forum's website. I'll make a move to try and update it and revamp that at the end of the year, and move the single OST that this place has onto the website, as I will also be deleting the LJ community that was made for this forum as well.
Adokenai has had a great run, but it's time to say goodbye.
